Gordon Goff

Based in San Francisco Gordon is publisher and managing director of ORO Group, which includes the critically acclaimed ORO Editions, Gordon has built a worldwide network with a host of world class architecture and design practices, including HOK, Francis Johnes Morehen Thorpe, AECOM, Perkins + Will, Safdie Architects and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson to name a few. Passionate about perfecting the book design process, seeking out unique, innovative content, and presenting a visual feast with each publication, Gordon created the ORO Group in 2003, which has successfully developed imprints ORO Editions, and more recently Applied Research + Design Publishing and GOFF BOOKS.

Under Gordon’s leadership, ORO Editions has been lauded as one of the most successful publishers of the century in the design book world. In 1986 Gordon founded Palace Press International and went on to become an internationally renowned publisher and creator publishing houses globally. Following the success of Palace Press International, Gordon played an instrumental role in establishing Mandala Publishing, Insight Editions, and Earth Aware Publishing, all three of which continue to thrive today. His accolades include Literary Market Place’s Manufacturer of the Year for The Best of Flair and numerous Gold Ink, Graphic Arts, Benjamin Franklin and other notable publishing industry awards. He has also published and produced hundreds of critically acclaimed titles, including LaChapelle Land, widely acknowledged as one of the top 100 photography books of all time. Gordon majored in Music at UCLA.
